Brinlee had the day off of preschool, so we decided to enjoy the beautiful weather and go to the Dallas Arboretum. Dallas blooms ends Sunday and they had so many beautiful tulips. It was fun to spend the day with my sweet little girl. She is so much fun to be with, and is growing up way to fast. I am so thankful to be her mommy and to have her in my life. She brightens my day, and I love her so much!

Brinlee had some birthday money to spend and I have been wanting to take her to the American Doll store, so we went yesterday. She absolutely loved it and of course wanted me to buy everything. I am so happy that she loves dolls, because I love them, and it is a nice break from dinosaurs! I let her play with all the baby things in the store and we bought the ity bity baby doll that she just loves. She named her baby Ali.

She also loves her pink cowgirl boots that Grammy Roney sent her! She is the cutest little girl ever!! I love her so much and I am so thankful to be her mommy!!

Today is such a bitter sweet day for me. I really don't want my "baby" to grow up! Brinlee is such a special blessing to our family. I feel my savior's love for me everyday through Brinlee. I am so proud to be her mom and to call her my daughter. She is so beautiful, smart, sweet, devilish, and funny! She amazes me everyday at how grown up she is. Tonight as I was putting her to bed she was telling me a story about a princess and how T-Rex was chasing her, but she could run so fast and he could not get her. She was going on and on when I told her it was time to say her prayers she said "wait I am telling you a story" how dare I not listen and interrupt her. Silly Mom!! I love her imagination and find it hard to believe that she is only 3! We had a fun party yesterday for her with our friends. Thanks to everyone who came to help us celebrate this sweet girl's birthday!!

Yesterday our association hosted a Halloween Spooktacular event for the kids. Brinlee and I went with our good friends Staci, Ryan and Sydney. It was a perfect night and the kids had so much fun. They got to trick or treat, so in the petting zoo, jump in the bounce houses and ride the train. This year is so much fun with because Brinlee gets so excited about everything. I just love to be with her and watch her learn and grow!

We just got back from a whirlwind of a weekend literally!! After all of my training the BIG day finally came, and I might say went very quickly. Ryan, Brinlee and I went to Las Vegas on Thursday and got to spend the weekend with his parents. They were so excited to have us come and to share this great experience with me. They did such a great job of making it so special and very memorable for me. If I ever chose to do another marathon it would be hard to beat!!

We arrived in St. George Friday afternoon and went to check in. After check in we went to actually drive the course to see just what I had gotten myself into. It was a definite reality to check to see just how long 26.2 miles is. At this point I started to get a little anxiety, but knew that I had trained my body for this and was ready. When I signed up for the race I put my finish time at 5 hours, because I knew that I could handle that. Then about 3 weeks ago I started to look at the marathon mommies blog and found that that was actually slow and moved my time to 4:15, but secretly wanted 4 hours. I started to pump my partner up for the better time, and hoped for the best. We were bussed to the top of a mountain to the starting line. I got up at 4:00 am and was on the bus at 4:30. It took about 1/2 hour to get to the starting line and the race started at 6:45 am. The marathon was very well put on with fires at the top to keep us warm until we started and lots of Gatorade, water and ben gay stations along the way. I was inpressed by the beauty of the mountains and the people in the small towns along the way who got up bright and early to cheer us on as we passed by. I ran with my race buddy Amy until about mile 14 when she said go ahead and get the time you want. I ran and ran and kept running. I was so excited to see Ryan, Brinlee and his mom and dad at mile 25.5. It was a definite moral booster. 25 had to be the longest mile ever because people kept saying just 1 more mile. After I saw them I turned the corner to the finish line and was overwhelmed with gratitude for my healthy body. I sprinted to the finish line and finished with a 4:09 time!!!!!! I was so grateful and happy to have beat my time by 6 minutes. I averaged 9:27 miles, and feel really blessed to have been a part of this great event. It was very challenging and very rewarding at the same time. Thank you to everyone for all of your support!!!

Oh know it is going to get me!

Maybe if I stand here and scream it will go away! There was lots of fun screaming along the way. She was making other people laugh at how funny she was about seeing the dinosaurs! It was very entertaining, and comical!!

We had so much fun the first time through we had to go a second time. Daddy did a good job of keeping us all cool in the summer heat with his cool wet towel!! I had to buy her the pink dinosaur shirt it says I love dinosaurs!

Brinlee never falls asleep in the car, but today was an exception. She crashed a few minutes after we left and got a nice nap in the car.

Today we decided to take a ride to a place called Glen Rose, Texas to visit Dinosaur World. It was fun to have a day all about Brinlee and her love for Dinosaurs. It was also fun to have daddy with us to share this fun experience. Brinlee was so animated and loved everything. We took lots of pictures to make a fun photo album of her and the dinosaurs.

It has been a while since I last posted. We have pretty much been hibernating in the house or at the swimming pool to try and escape the summer time heat. I am still going strong training for my marathon in October. It is a lot of running, but will be worth it in the end. I run 4 days a week and cross train 1 day. Saturday's are my long runs. Ryan has been great giving up playing basketball Saturday mornings so I can train. I am also thankful for my training partner who makes it easier to get up and go run for 2+ hours every Saturday morning. Alex and Austyn are training hard for Football. It is definitely "Friday Night Lights in Texas" the schools are crazy out here and work the boy's hard. They are having fun and look forward to starting to play soon. It has been fun to watch them grow and develop their talent of football. Damon has been Brinlee's little buddy this summer. They hang out everyday and love playing together. He is growing up and will be in the 5th grade this year!

My sweet little Brinlee is in LOVE with Dinosaurs! She is so fascinated by them and scared of them at the same time. It all started with her watching Little Einsteins Instrument Dinosaurs and hiding behind me while she watched, but asking to watch over and over again. I would also often find her hiding behind the couch as well. Then she started watching the Land Before Time movies and NOW she LOVES Ice Age which she calls "the elephant movie". I took her last week to go see Ice Age Dinosaurs at the theater and she was so good. She LOVES movies and as soon as we got in the car she wanted to go again. All I heard all the way home was let's go again, let's go back, I don't want to take a nap I want to go back, turn around mom let' go back. It was very funny and made us all laugh. She is so much fun and has quite the personality! I just adore her and I am so grateful to be her mommy!

Ryan needed to take some time off from work and we decided to head to Virginia to visit Ryan's brother Greg and his family. We had a great time visiting and site seeing. Brinlee enjoyed her cousin's and had so much fun jumping on the trampoline. Here are a few highlights from are trip.

The results are in and YES my team won the lottery to run the St.George Marathon in October!! I have alway's wanted to run a marathon as one of my things to do before I was 30 and let's just say that did not happen, but hey it is never too late! Since running the half marathon in February running has got into my blood and I am actually enjoying it. I loved the adreneline rush I got from finishing the race and had plenty of extra energy afterwards that I did not give it a second thought to register for the St. George marathon. The St. George marathon is supposed to be one of the best and out of 10510 people that registered to run they only allow 7200, so I feel pretty lucky to be running in it. I am excited to start training and look forward to accomplishing my personal goal of finishing a marathon!! Wish me luck!

I had no idea Brinlee's hair was long enough for pig tails because her hair is so curly. I don't do it very often because I love her sweet riglet curls. She is so grown up and is so much fun to have in our home. She talks all the time and says the funniest things. She is now into feelings and I love to watch her express them. She is "scared" of dinosaur's and the "giant" that Damon told her about. It is funny to hear her talk about them. She has to whisper, so they don't hear her and find her. We go on a dinosaur hunt almost everyday. Today at play group she loved the park, because it had a dinosaur that she could ride on. She was not scared of it which was funny to me. I guess she is just afraid of the ones she can't see. I am so in love with being a mommy and I am so thankful to have Brinlee in my life!!

Ok so I am sure many of you are shocked I even own a dog. In fact I have had just a few dogs since I have been with Ryan. Bella is the only dog we have now. The other two dogs we had did not do well adjusting to having the kids around. They were male dominant and are doing so good now they have homes where they are the only dog. Bella is such a sweet dog and is definitely "my" dog. Of course the story goes that Ryan wanted a big dog for Alex, but everyone knows she is my dog. I had been looking on craigslist for a labradoodle, and found Bella. The guy took her from the breeder because she did not get sold. She was headed for the pound. He was just looking for a good home and only wanted help with the food he had bought for her. We gave him $30 and she was ours, and we are so happy to have her. Bella is the best dog ever! She has the sweetest personality and is very calm. She is going to turn 1 on April 28 th.

Ryan's parents came to celebrate with us. This is Sunday when Alex was confirmed and received the holy ghost.

Ryan's brother's Greg and Brad also came to celebrate with us. He was baptized by Ryan and Grandpa gave a great talk on the holy ghost. He was dressed in white to show how pure and clean Alex was after he was baptized.

This past weekend was Alex's big day... he was baptized. For those of you who don't know. Alex is Ryan's 16 year old son who had been living with his mother is Northern California until August of last year. He decided to come to live with us in Texas and is doing very well. He loves school and is on the football team. About two weeks ago he got his driver's lisense and is very excited about that, and to top it all he committed to be baptized. This is something Ryan alway's dreamed of and we prayed one day would happen. We are both very proud of him and the good choices he is making. He is a very good kid and brings a great spirit in our home.

Ok so yes I am crazy. Last week Ryan told me that some of women in our ward were running a half marathon (13.1 miles to be exact) next Saturday (today), and I thought hmm this is something I have alway's wanted to do, and what better time to do it! At this point I had only ran 5 miles at one time, but figured I had Brinlee and the dog with me, so 13 miles will be easy not pushing a heavy load. Let me just say that I had the best time and feel so invigorated right now!! The race was in Ft. Worth about an hour away, so we went yesterday and stayed the night in a hotel. It was so much fun being with these awesome women Jennifer and Amy. This is definitely going to be a yearly tradition. I am not sure my exact time, but my watch said 2 hours and 17 minutes!!! That is about a 10 minute mile, and I felt awesome at the end. Our husbands were at the finish line to cheer us on and it was perfect!! Thanks honey for being there to support me!!

I love watching them interact with their little sister they are the best big brothers! Brinlee is my little sunshine girl. I am blessed to be a stay at home mom and to be with her everyday to watch her learn and grow. She talks so much, can count to ten, and knows her abc's. Mommy is so proud of you Brinlee!! I was able to get away with no kids this past weekend to go to Seattle and visit a good friend. Ryan was so good to play mister mom for the weekend!! It was cold, but beautiful with the fall leaves. Sunday we went to Seattle and La Conner a cute town with lots of fun shops. We also ate at a very good bakery. It was so much fun to have some girl time. Is there a problem? I have the swing still up under the stairs and curious George found it! She has an obsession with buckles and was in there playing with the buckle.

So many of you wonder what have the Roney's been up to? Two weeks ago today Alex made the decision to come and live with us in Texas. We were so excited, and had lots to do to get him registered for school that started August 25. It has been so much fun having him around!! Brinlee loves her big brother and he is so cute with her. Alex started diving school yesterday and can't wait to get his permit. YIKES!! He is loving all the girls and the new High School, which is a big change from his school of 80 students to a school of over 2700 students. As for me I am just trying to keep up with everyone. I still have Damon after school, and of course little miss Brinlee. Brinlee is a little monkey that loves to climb! I found her today on the top of the changing table. I am not sure what to do with her. She is curious George and gets into everything. I really can't take my eyes off of her, or she gets into trouble. She is so cute and she knows it. She is such a joy to have in our family!!

While Nick and Alex were in town and we took them to UT. Nick is a senior next year and is looking at different colleges. Ryan, Nick and Alex toured the campus and they all came back very excited about it. We are trying to sway Nick to go there, but he has his heart stuck on UCLA. Alex was excited about it and he just might be the one we get there. Austin was very hot, so we only stayed one night and did not get out to see too much. Ryan and I hope to go back soon and see just why people are so crazy about Austin.

Some friends invited us to go camping at Lake Ray Roberts this past weekend. We had so much fun in the water! Brinlee loved the wave runner and Damon who was scared ended up loving it as well. I got to water ski and wake board and I was in heaven. Ryan got up on ski's, and tried really hard to get up on the wake board. I let Austyn drive the wave runner with me and he went so fast turning I flew off. That was the end of his driving. I have to say camping in a nice air conditioned trailor at the lake is the only way to go!! Thanks Melissa and Brian for a great weekend!!

Here are a few cute pictures from this week. This has been a fun summer having Damon and Austee around everyday. Brinlee LOVES her brothers and thinks they are so funny. They are both GREAT big brothers and we LOVE that they live so close. It is REALLY hot here, so all we have been doing is swimming or watching LOTS of movies to try and stay cool. 4TH of July Celebration

As a family tradition we have been going to the Freedom Festival in Frisco for the 4TH of July. We watched the soccer game and enjoyed a concert and fireworks show. Brinlee LOVED the concert ( a no name kid named Freddy trying to get a record label.) Brinlee was so funny to watch dance. She entertained everyone around us and loved it!! We hope you all enjoyed America's birthday!!

Yes we are still alive! It has been a crazy

and very hot summer so far. Damon was baptized on the 14th of June. We are so happy for him and he is doing so well. He is growing up and is my little buddy. I love having him around, and so does Brinlee. Today I got brave and took Damon and Brinlee to go see WALL-E. Damon really liked it and Brinlee did for the first hour. After that she was done. It was her first time actually going to the movies. She was so cute and snuggled with me on my lap loving the huge screen. She also enjoyed the popcorn and ate most of it! I think she is going to be just like Ryan and boys and love movies. I am going to be out numbered, because I really don't like movies, and I fall asleep in them.

Ryan, Brinlee and I went to Las Vegas for Mother's Day weekend, and as always had a fabulous time! Carolyn and Arden are always so hospitable, and make it very enjoyable to visit. Brinlee loved spending time with them, and they enjoyed being grandparents. We were able to enjoy a manicure and pedicure, Mother's Day brunch at the Marriott, a massage, and a really cool magic show by Steve Wyrick. We forgot our camera, but Carolyn was so good to share her pictures. We love you Grammy and Papa!! Thank you so much for a wonderful weekend :-)

Kenny Chesney Concert

For Ryan's birthday I got him Kenny Chesney tickets, and last night was the great concert. We had so much fun just being together and enjoying an evening without kids. Leeann Rimes, Brooks and Dunn and Kenny Chesney all gave great performances.

Ok so by now I am beginning to feel really boring! As I have not posted since Easter. We are keeping busy, but with everyday life nothing to interesting to blog about. We did go to a charity soccer game between FC Dallas and LA Galaxy and yes David Beckham did show up (last time he did not and that did not go over well with all of the fans). We have mid field front row seats and got to see him in action up close!! He is an amazing soccer player and lucky for us played the entire game, and was on our side for the 2nd half! We had a good time, and it was fun to the "Michael Jordan" of soccer play! He always draws a big crowd.

Easter Egg Hunt

Brinlee meant the Easter Bunny and went on her first Easter Egg Hunt! She loved the Easter Bunny, and the hunt until it began. All of the kids running out on the field scared her and she started to cry :-(

Oh well it was fun to get out and enjoy a beautiful Spring day!!

Yesturday was Austyn's BIG 13TH birthday!! Yikes he is a true teenager now. Ryan took him and 3 friends to the movies and afterward they came to our home to have pizza and play the

X-Box. We are very proud of him...he has made really good friends who are all very nice. Here are some pics of his day.

Here is what our week has looked like.... Damon's first soccer game was last Saturday. What a handsome soccer player his is and a good sport. He has never played and is catching on really good. I have enjoyed my new bike, and Brinlee LOVES to go for rides. We went to feed the ducks. We had snow on Tuesday and it was beautiful, yesturday I mowed the lawn hoping to get rid of all the dead grass and have it turn green.....and today SNOW again!!! Damon and I had fun making snow man, and enjoyed hot chocolate afterward.

Brinlee's First Snow Day

Yes it does occasionally snow in Texas. I bundled Brinlee up first thing this morning to go play in the snow. This was her first experience with snow :-) She was funny to watch and did not like the snow sticking to her gloves. It was fun until she got cold we ended with a warm bath in the sink.

Damon and I have been working so hard on his wolf bagde for cub scouts. This birdhouse was our last project and tomorrow he gets his wolf bagde, and bobcat. :-) He is so excited and I am so proud of him he has worked so hard!!

Today we met Ashley and Sydney (Ryan's cousin and little girl Sydney who is 3 weeks older than Brinlee) at the mall to let the girls play on the toys. The girls had so much fun togther. Brinlee loves to give hugs and tackle Syd and knocked her over. She then proceeded to use her as a jungle gym! Syd did not seem to mind. I am sure she wondered where this crazy girl came from!! Mommy had a great time visting with Ashley, and Brinlee had fun with Syd.

So this is how my life goes right now.... Brinlee is a busy little girl who loves to explore in everything, and to think she does not even walk yet. She had fun getting everything out of this drawer and laying on the floor playing with it all. While mommy was trying to get dinner ready :-)

Sorry for so many posts in a row, but this is the first chance I have had to sit down. As you can see we have had a very busy weekend with Grammy and Grandpa. On Saturday we enjoyed a beautiful afternoon at the zoo. Brinlee was so cute. WOW was her word of the day, and when we saw the tigers she started to growl. It was cracking us all up!! We have been watching baby einstein world animals and baby noah to prepare for our day at the zoo. Everyone had a great time. One of the highlights was the Lion's really big roar. We had moved on and I ran back to see. It was so cool.

We enjoyed a fun party with friends and family!! Brinlee enjoyed having her friend Joey to play with. They played so cute together it was fun to watch. Brinlee had fun opening all of her presents and of course eating her own birthday cake. She was not sure at first what to do, but soon got the hang of it getting frosting all over :-)

On Friday January 25th our sweet Princess Brinlee turned 1!!! We loved having Grammy and Grandpa Roney come for Brinlee's Birthday it was special to have you with us to celebrate. Brinlee got to open their gifts in the afternoon, so we could enjoy watching her without her feeling overwhelmed. Brinlee won Grandpa's heart by calling him "Papa" she loves her Grammy and Papa.

Last week I actually won on the radio a family 4 pack of hockey tickets for last Saturday!!!...(ok so I am going to be better at keeping this more up to date.) We all had a great time at watching the Texas Tornado's play hockey. The boys really like hockey and so did Brinlee. (at least the first half....then it was bed time :-)

Our attempt with the chocolate fountain Grammy and Grandpa gave us for Christmas, unfortunately the motor was broken.

Well it is about time I actually do something with my blog. I set it up way back in September after going to California to visit Reagan and Patience. She does such a great job at keeping hers up, and I pretty much flopped :-) So here is a start to round two. Ryan and I have so much to be thankful for I hardly know where to begin. We had a great Christmas and New year with all of the boys. Nick and Alex were with us for 3 weeks and Austyn and Damon came over during the day. Brinlee LOVES her brothers and enjoys the attention they give her when they are not playing the new XBOX Santa brought them EARLY.

We just got back from a great vacation visiting Reagan and Patience in beautiful Aliso Viejo, CA. We had the best time going to the Padres game Friday night in San Diego. On Saturday we had a shopping spree for Brinlee. She desparately needed new clothes. We ended the day with a fabulous night out at the spa!!! It was wonderful and very relaxing. On Sunday we went to the beach that Reagan gets the pleasure of seeing everyday at work! It was so nice and we all got wet! Brinlee loved it! When we got back to Reagan's we experienced a small California earthquake. I thought Reagan was kidding, but sure enough they had an earthquake. We also had the joy of experiencing Sprinke cupcakes. They we so yummy and devilish. Sunday night we watched the girls and had so much fun painting Ella and Madison's toes and hands! They are so funny and so cute! I loved spending time with them :-)
